Keeping in Focus

Matthew 6:25-30 (NASB)    25For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? 27 And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life? 28 And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, 29 yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith!

When Jesus spoke, He expressed the I AM.  When He acted, He expressed the I AM.  Though walking out the life of man, He expressed the I AM.  In all ways, He showed us the purpose of God to make man in God's image.  He gave Himself so we could become what He is--the visible likeness of God; God expressed in the likeness of man!  (Hebrews 1:3 (NASB) And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high)  He is the Way.  We are begotten of God through Him.  We have a new inheritance and are brought nigh to Him through the covenant He cut for us.  We no longer live as those of this realm with the goals and ambitions and worship of this realm.  We can now live in the I AM of God.  The past is under the Blood and the future is in His Hand!  We live in the present with thanksgiving and the anointing of the Holy Spirit to enable us to walk as Jesus walked in connection with the Father!

This is what Jesus paid for and what is ours.  To live beneath this is to live in poverty when the wealth of heaven is ours.  Jesus gave the cry, It is finished!  We are challenged to live in the finished work of God.
