The Nature of God -- Complete (continued)

When I contemplate the completeness of God, I am aware of my own nature. I think I can best describe any human nature as "bits and pieces". We all have weak areas in our nature and also bits of strength. I have found that the stronger the area, the more danger to my spirit's growth in God. Where I am strong, I rely on myself! Where I am weak, I rely on God. I have had to learn to lean on God and follow the Spirit's leading. Probably the hardest thing to overcome is the strength of human opinions. Hebrews 4:11 (KJV) Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. To enter His rest is to give over our own control and trust in being led by the Father's will. Our trust of full obedience despises the cost to our personal image and comfort.

These areas in our nature that are not surrendered to the Spirit's control rob the joy of the complete possession of the Spirit. It is God's desire that you be in His image. You are His workmanship! To the degree you are empty of self and yielded to His hand, He can fill you.

John 15:11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.

John 17:13 But now I come to You; and these things I speak in the world so that they may have My joy made full in themselves.

Ephesians 3:19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

Colossians 1:9 So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding.

These are only a few of the Scriptures that speak of God's desire to bring you to a completion in Him. In ourselves, we are fragmented in our focus, our desires, our knowledge and understanding, in our emotional responses and in our strengths. But we are not left on our own, He is the Way to the Father and He has provided for the Spirit to be our Guide. He is ABLE to complete the work in you!
